The bakery needs volunteers to help fill the gaps in the weekly schedules when employees either have their regularly scheduled day off or need a day off for a variety of reasons. Volunteers work as a cashier who greets the guests with amazing hospitality, fulfills their order, completes the transaction, and wishes them a great day.
This position is great for anyone who would like to work in a bakery one day or open their own bakery. It is also great for high school and college students needing service hours. Or it is great for anyone who wants to advocate for higher wages in Memphis. You will need to be willing to provide "ridiculously great hospitality" and have an understanding of money handling.
We don't necessarily have an age limit for volunteers. However, pre-teen volunteers should be accompanied by an adults.

My name is Barbara Buford and I would love to catch a glimpse of how Baker's cook those deliciously tasty treats, while offering Customer Service! Never having been the best cook, sad to say, but who knows, maybe this could change!
Thank you for the opportunity for 1/22/2020 Wed, from 7am to 11 am!
I have previously completed other volunteer opportunities at Dorothy Day House, twice, The Spay Clinic, and The Restore at Habitat for Humanity.
