Idlewild Elementary Learning Garden Beautification!

Spring is around the corner! At this event you will be volunteering with Big Green Memphis staff as we prepare the school garden for the spring planting season.
Volunteer tasks will include:
- Adding new soil to garden beds
- Garden irrigation repair
- Planting cover crops
- Cleaning up learning garden site: weeding, trash pickup, washing garden beds, benches & boulders
Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
All materials including shovels and gloves for volunteers will be provided.
Big Green is committed to reducing waste, and please bring your own re-usable water bottle.
NOTE: This event is taking place on a day in which the school is closed, so there will be no access to a restroom or the school building.

Parking is available behind the school next to the learning garden. Enter the school driveway, on the right of the school entrance, and drive all the way around to the back of the school, and you will see the garden and playground, and parking spots.
