This Family Fun Day takes place during the Foundry Invitational and River Exhibition (F.I.R.E.), the Metal Museum's casting conference. We have about thirty artists taking part in the conference, making molds throughout the week and then casting those molds on Saturday during an iron pour. The Family Fun Day is designed to help visitors learn about the casting process through hands-on activities, watching the iron pour, and also seeing artwork made by conference attendees during a Pop Up exhibit.
Activities for the Family Fun Day include: resin cast bottle cap magnets, paper casting, a Make Your Own: Art Tile activity, a sand play area, scavenger hunts, and a pop up exhibit.
No experience necessary - we will teach you all you need to know!
|Perks||You are welcome to join us for the post iron pour dinner and pop up exhibit reception. |
There will also be a food truck on Saturday for lunch.
