United Way of the Mid-South and Volunteer Odyssey in partnership with The City of Memphis' Bicentennial Celebration Present A New Century of Service | A Day of Action on May 22, 2019

Join like-minded Memphians in celebrating all that is good in the city by taking time to give back. United Way of the Mid-South and Volunteer Odyssey are hosting service projects across the city and we invite you to participate.

Join us at the morning rally to grab your free t-shirt and a bite to eat. Then embark on a day of service and fun!

7:30 - 8:30 | Century of Service Kickoff at the Pipkin Building (940 Early Maxwell Blvd)
Join us at the Pipkin Building to kick off Century of Service. You'll receive a welcome from the Memphis Mayor, t-shirts, breakfast, and instructions for your project. 

8:30 - 9:00 | Volunteers drive themselves to the project sites. 

9:00 - 11:00 | Riverfront Clean up
We will be picking up litter that has been left behind as the Mississippi River recedes. This is important to keep our city and environment clean as well as to keep litter from entering our waterways and ending up in the ocean. Litter in our waterways has an enormous impact on the environment and the animals that live in the aquatic ecosystems. In particular, when plastic ends up in the environment it never goes away!

Parking is limited to street parking and parking garages. We encourage volunteers to walk, bike, carpool, and Uber!
