Running the letter campaign is always so special because I get to see everyone come together to work for a coming goal of raising money for Make-a-Wish
Walk for Wishes volunteer at face painting booth!
donated $21
Painted a banner as a decoration for the celebration of a child's granting of his wish to go to Panama City Beach soon.
Donated $21 to Make A Wish.
I signed up to hold a sign at the Chick Fil A on Dickson to tell customers about the Make A Wish foundation. I told customers walking in that if they said they're with Chi Omega at the register, a percentage of their money will go to Make A Wish Foundation. I got to do this with 3 other girls :)
This was such a humbling experience for me. I sold Star necklaces at the daddy daughter date night at the Memphis zoo. I met a little girl who had had a wish herself and her dad bought her a necklace. about 20 minutes later they came back to buy another one because she had given hers to another little girl. the fact someone who we would normally look at as disabled had such a compassionate heart and was so willing to give to others made me fall in love with this organization.
I volunteered at the Memphis Zoo for Daddy-Daughter Date Night. I was in charge of greeting all the kids and their dads while also promoting Make-A-Wish and what they do for the Mid-South community. I sold light-up star necklaces in order to raise money to grant someone's wish one day.
