World Water Day Service Project

I volunteered for the Wolf River Conservancy, and we cleaned up the surrounding are of the Wolf River. We helped clear the trash on the water banks, which will positively affect the wild life as well as the community that lives in the area. I learned just how much a little trash can build up over time. I found water bottles that had probably been sitting for a couple of years but, as time goes on more and more trash just builds up. I worked as part of a team, they separated us into groups and we were assigned different areas. I think this was very important because we were able to hit different spots, but the group aspect made it more enjoyable. I would definitely volunteer for this organization again because I like the idea of clearing the trash, for the betterment of our world. The organization aligns with what I believe the world should be.

A great day to have an amazing day with awesome people for such a worthy cause!!!
