Serving as a Tour Marshall is always a great experience because I get the opportunity to show Claflin’s beautiful campus to future Panthers. I truly love being a Tour Marshall and helping prospective students get a feel for what makes Claflin such a special place.
Being an orientation leader for the second time was such a great experience! I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and to be a small part of the Class of 2030’s start to their college journey.
The “We Are the People” panel was really interesting to listen to. It was important for me to hear the upcoming candidates strongly stand for what they believe in. It showed me how voting can truly make a difference in our system, and I appreciate that everyone took the time to come and speak with us.
I really enjoyed giving my first tour to junior girls in high school. They were very interactive, and I liked being able to show them around Claflin’s campus and share information with them. I’m excited to give more tours in the future.
Writing letters to elderly patients in the hospital was very fulfilling. It felt meaningful to help put a smile on their faces and hopefully make a difficult day a little better.
I enjoyed marching to the polls at South Carolina State University. It was inspiring to see the school come together for such a positive and meaningful event. I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to take part in it.
I enjoyed walking around the Graduation Fair and seeing the different graduate school options available for others. Since I plan to earn my doctorate in psychology, I didn’t find a school option that fit my path. However, it was nice meeting recruiters and learning about schools I had never heard of before.
I enjoyed the career fest and had the opportunity to meet representatives from the FBI, which is closest to the career path I want to pursue as a behavioral scientist. Although there were not many tables related to my interests, I still visited several others to learn more. I also asked about scholarship opportunities while exploring the event.
I truly enjoyed writing letters to Claflin University Public Safety and Health Center because it gave me a meaningful way to express my gratitude. It felt great to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the people who support and protect us every day. Their commitment often goes unnoticed, so taking a moment to say thank you means a lot. I hope my words brought them some encouragement and reminded them that their efforts are deeply appreciated. I’m hoping the letter will brighten their day and help them know they are truly appreciated.
