This bag making project really showed a group of students coming together for the greater good! These bags are going to those in great need, and I feel very grateful to be a part of this project!

I really enjoyed this event! It was very nice to all come together and do some arts and crafts for a great cause!
I really enjoyed NRHH's Baby Blanket and Scarf Making event! I felt like I was able to converse with fellow UofA students while making a difference by cutting and tying baby blankets. When you create something for someone else like a baby blanket, you know that these impacts go a long way even if you do not see the impact face-to-face. I'm very happy to have participated in this, and I hope these blankets go to those in need!
I really enjoyed the NRHH Gift Box Wrapping Event! Even though we were not wrapping actual presents, we were wrapping boxes for students to donate many presents to kids which is very heartwarming! It was so great to interact with everyone at the event, and I was very happy to attend!
The STEAM night at Leverett Elementary was very rewarding for me! Not only did I get to learn about some of the topics they were presenting on, but I was able to help teachers and other volunteers to make their jobs a little easier. I loved how engaged everyone was and how everyone was willing to help out wherever they were needed.
I really enjoyed the NRHH trail clean up! It was good to get together with friends and other University of Arkansas students and give back to our community that we call home. Picking up trash in the parking lot and along our trail was very rewarding because we are creating a cleaner and better environment for our fellow students to appreciate and love.
At the NRHH Trail Cleanup, a group of students went to the NRHH trail and cleaned up trash that was there. It was really amazing to be helping clean our beautiful campus from all of the trash scattered throughout the trail. In addition, a group of bikers were heading on the trail right after we cleaned and thanked us for cleaning it. It was really good to see the trail being put to use and our cleaning having an effect on the community. I definitely hope to do more events like this next year and maybe even on my own free time!
At the Leverett literacy night, I greeted families that were coming in and let them know what events were happening in the room I was volunteering in. I was able to interact with families and children and hopefully make their experience at literacy night worth while. I felt like I did something meaningful in the community, and I hope to come back and volunteer again. It was great to help take a load off of some of the teachers and just help out with whatever they really needed from us!
At this event, we built necessity bags for the homeless. I really enjoyed the event because now we get to take the bags we made and give them to someone in need. It really helps to see where our work and service is going to.
I really enjoyed the trail cleanup that we did. At the cleanup, I was able to get outside and help make our adopted trail a little bit cleaner by picking up trash that was on and around the trail. Due to this, I hope students and others on campus will be wanting to use this trail more now that it has been cleaned. I cannot wait to do another trail cleanup like this soon and hope we can keep the trail clean for everyone to use it.
