The University of Memphis's Ducks Unlimited class spent our class period volunteering with Wolf River Conservancy. We had the opportunity to learn about the work the conservancy is doing and how they are impacting the Memphis area. We helped them plant about 60 trees to help repopulate the population after flooding last season. I really enjoyed being so hands on with ensuring the future of the environment of Memphis. This was my first time volunteering with Wolf River Conservancy and I would definitely volunteer with them again. It was great to spend time outdoors and help ensure we can continue to enjoyed what the city of Memphis has to offer.

I loved my time volunteering with Feed my Flock. I was able to do this volunteer opportunity with my sorority sisters. We helped make meals that will be sent to Africa. These meals are packaged, sealed, and then they can be rehydrated. Groups of church members travel to Africa to perform eye surgeries and these meals are given to them before and after surgery. We were able to make 15 boxes of meals! I will definitely be volunteering with Feed my Flock again! I definitely feel my time volunteering helped further their mission!
I always enjoy my time volunteering during move in week. I volunteered last year and was excited to help out this year. I love getting to meet new students and their families. I enjoyed getting to calm their nerves or answering any questions they might have. I also like getting to volunteer with other UofM students, especially my sorority sisters. It is also fun getting to see the students I helped move-in during the rest of Tiger Welcome and the semester. It is fun being a part of someone's first week of college experience.

During this service project, we cleaned up the streets around campus. We picked up trash, raked leaves, and planted new plants. We helped repair a broken fence and collected litter. This service event was in collaboration with Alpha Gamma Delta and Sigma Epsilon. This was a great opportunity to get to know another chapter while making a difference in our community. We had such a great time that we agreed to do a clean-up project another weekend before school ended. Our street looks so much and better represents our organization.
