My friends and I were walking and stopped by a recruiter for the Department of Corrections. He engaged us in a funny conversation about future career plans. He said that because I am a senior I need to get on it and that the Department of Corrections is a potential choice regardless of my field of study. Overall, it was a great experience talking to professionals in other industries.

At the EICOP HBCU Fall Tour, I gained valuable information about the organization. Their mission is to provide access to opportunities, a diverse pipeline of talent, exposure to experiences, career pathways, and hiring opportunities for interns. Their program offers career development, mentoring, and networking at several companies like Sony or Disney! Additionally, it is an 8-12 week internship with housing provided.
I attended the Fall Career Fair, and it was fun! I got to speak with some interesting people and gained valuable information.
I visited the voter registrations tent in front of the student center and was registered to vote. While there, I got great information on who was running for office and their vice presidents.

Signing up for Panther X was easy. It seems like a resourceful application for staying updated about the things happening around the campus.
There were several options to choose from at the Fall Career Fair. I was seeking internships and a career that correlated with computer science or computer engineering. I chose 3D systems, CCC solutions, and Zoom. 3D systems and CCC solutions have some interesting topics and innovations that they are working on. However, Zoom was a bit underwhelming because it didn't necessarily have the information I looking for, but I will do more research. As for CCC solutions, there is a session I am considering on going to November 18th.
It was important to get everything ready for next semester because I did not feel like struggling to get everything situated. It was a struggle trying to meet with my advisor because of their office hours and busy schedule. In the end, I learned somethings that will improve my experience.
I attended the BEEP: Digital Brand session. Our speaker was a participant from Shark Tank, and her name is Precious. Precious is an author and she is calls her self the Pitch Queen. Precious demonstrated the best way to pitch yourself. She explained that it is important to give all of the relevant information and to be direct in the approach. She stated that you use your time wisely, but keep your pitch short and direct.
