This was a community service event that serviced the low-income community. This event was held at a middle and elementary school and for the most part I just helped out with the vendors and things like that. At this event, I also helped with the easter egg hunt for the kids. One thing I learned from the community that I served was that just because it is a low-income community that does not always mean that everyone is low-income some people live there because that is where their family grew up. I plan to keep volunteering with the community because I love to see the smiles on children's faces. I contributed to the overall mission by giving my undivided attention to the children to make their day.

I went back home for the holidays and was able to help my community by helping pick up trash off of the streets in the neighborhood and also raking and picking up leaves to make the community look better to all the families that were visiting. I have always enjoyed getting out into the community and making it look better than before. I can't wait to go back during the summer to be able to help the community around me to continue to look clean.

I really enjoyed going out to this event because I was able to interact with the community and pass out candy to the children in a safe and fun environment. We played games with the kids and passed out candy and prizes.
I really enjoyed helping everyone move in.
I really enjoyed helping cook the food and serving to the homeless.
