Today was the last day of SOAR for the school year! We played lots of different games and even got to have popsicles since it was the last day! There were some tears from some of the students because they were sad about the summer but we reminded them that it will all be okay, and they'll see us next year if they weren't in 5th grade! I mainly was outside running and playing with the kids and it was a super fun day!

Today I got sorted into Amistad and all of the kids ran to me after the balloon was popped and it was so much fun! We also found out who was house champions and all the kids supported those who won! After sorting we had a fun Friday and I helped out with smashball!
Today I volunteered with Group 3 while we colored and played with Legos! The group 3 kids had some pretty cool Lego masterpieces, two of them made pretty detailed houses! There was also a game for house points today where 3 members of each house were chosen and then separated onto two sides of a sheet where they would then have to guess the name of who was on the other side of the sheet once it dropped! It was pretty funny to see their reactions when one of the group leaders jumped in to trick them up.
Today I was with Group 1 and we made out own bubble wands in different shapes to see if the bubbles would be that shape or still be a circle! After bubbles, we then played a game where they would pick a shape out of a bag and then look around the room to see if that shape was in our room. We played lots of different games with shapes and they had to think about where they see that shape in the real world also!
