This was my second time volunteering and the people are all so kind! The time went by so fast because we were all having so much fun. I worked to help pack up the meals in to-go containers so that people could take them home. We had A LOT of leftover food. After that I went into the kitchen and swept the floors. We finished by putting up the chair and tables!

When the kids arrived we did some math puzzles and worksheets. I worked with one of the students on a math worksheet that used dominos to teach addition and subtraction. They kids ate their snack and when we finished our work we worked on some reading comprehension sentences. The kids got to go play outside today and it was a lot of fun!

There were not many kids that showed up today, but when they did we played some games of war with them to practice number sense. They ate their snack and we played a few rounds of this. A few of the younger boys and I went into the big room to play with the balls and get some energy out.

When I first arrived there were two other volunteers there. We packed up some donuts and waited for the kids to arrive. The first child got there and we talked about her day for a while and she had a donut and some juice. 2 of the other kiddos go there and we sat down with them after they had their snack and played an addition game with them.

I have not worked at the ReStore shop before and I am very glad that I know about it now. The shop's mission is incredible and all proceeds are given directly back to the community to make a difference. I got to help organize some things around the shop. I worked in the houseware section and I met some very kind people.

I got to work with some amazing volunteers on Thursday, they were so much fun! When the kids got there I played a fun counting/dice game with one of the boys. We also worked on some reading comprehension questions. After snack/school work, everyone went into the big room and played with bean bags and balls.

Last night was my first time to volunteer with Circles, and it was a great experience. I met some very kind people who were fun to work with. When we first arrived I met the other volunteers and then me and another volunteer began packing the leftovers into boxes for the participants to take home. After finishing the boxes we cleaned off the tables and went into the kitchen to help dry the dishes that were being done. We wrapped up the night as everyone was leaving and put up all of the tables and chairs.

We had another fun day at the after school program! They were short staffed unfortunately because a lot of people are sick right now. When we first arrived we bagged up some donuts and waited for the kids to get there. After the kids had their snack I played a math board game with two of the boys. We had a lot of fun!

This was my second time volunteering with Life source and I had a great time! When I first got there a group of us began filling bags with food until the kids got there. I volunteered to help work the front which meant I got to check the students in as they arrived and answer phone calls as they came in.

This was a great experience. It was the first time that I got to volunteer with this group, and I met some very sweet kids. It was the first day back to school for them so, unfortunately, many of the children did not show up. I look forward to meeting them in the future!
