For my Intercultural Communication class I have to meet up with an intercultural partner to get hours. I have obtained over two hours during the interactions. I have loved communicating with someone from a different cultural background! Its the best!
I volunteered at a track event at the University of Arkansas for 3 hours helping with time and jotting down scores.
Today, a service learning opportunity was presented in class! In class, we all got to write letters to Potter's house and the courthouse! I wrote letters to the girls that we have been visiting with at the Fayetteville library. In the letter, I said, "you are...." I basically wrote down great qualities and traits they have! I hope they feel so much love and encouragement when reading the letters!
I placed the pizza order and verified the order with Dr. Mensah. Then, I went to go get the pizza at Geraldi's and headed to the library. During my time at the library I got to help serve and interact with the girls while eating dinner!
I emailed Dr. Mensah to see what all I had to order for the pizza. I then called Geraldi's and placed the order for everyone at the library!
Ordered the pizza, helped set up at the library, and talked with the girls! Had so much fun! Was a great experience!
