This was a good experience for my roommate Emma and I. We picked up the Razorback Greenway, which needed to be loved and cleaned up, as there was a lot of litter. It was nice to get our daily exercise in on a beautiful day in Fayetteville while helping keep our community clean.
I spoke with the Bentonville high school students about my experience at the University of Arkansas and the Honors College Path Program. It was great to interact with students who are hoping to attend the U of A. My favorite topic was discussing how to make the U of A affordable through scholarships and grants. It is always great to represent the Path Program.
I attended the Pi Day Recess in Gearhart. It was good to see so many familiar faces from the Path Program in attendance. The mini pies from Walmart were SO delicious and the perfect pick-me-up. And it was comical to see the Deans get pied!
I attended the Honors College Pulse Presentation over Perfectionism. This event was led by Dr. Margaret Rutherford, a psychologist, author, and TEDx speaker. This event was so helpful, as she discussed struggles for college students and how perfectionism can cause mental health effects. I learned that it is okay to "slow down" and to work on self-satisfaction, rather than getting an applause from others. I am doing enough. I cannot wait to read Dr. Rutherford's book "Perfectly Hidden Depression".
I took the wellness survey that Michelle sent via email. I answered questions regarding my initial thoughts on wellbeing, as well as resources on campus that help with the 8 pillars of a healthy wellbeing. I even got to suggest topics that could help students on campus regarding their wellbeing. I hope this survey impacts positive change for the campus community.
I went to Andy's and made a purchase and a percentage of the sales went to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Thank you Madison!! :)
