This was my first time attending GiveCamp as a volunteer and it was an amazing experience.
There was a great sense of camaraderie among the volunteers. On a couple of occasions when I doubted myself and let impostor syndrome creep up on me, the volunteers around me were quick to step in and remind me that I was totally capable of getting the job done. And I did!
It was such a gift to be able to help non-profit organizations achieve their project goals while learning from the immensely talented tech professionals who worked hard, stepped in to help others when they could, and produced amazing quality work.
I loved the work I did over the weekend. It varied a lot -- web form design, content creation, graphic design, photo editing, and layout customization -- and every bit of it was fascinating to me. I just did not want to stop working. After volunteering at GiveCamp this year, I know for sure this is the field I want to be in.
Thank you so much to the event organizers for working so hard to make this happen! Your efforts are very much appreciated and I hope you all get some good rest now that it's over.
Also, I totally understand the Gravity Forms hype now. Praise be and see you next year!
