About

I am a college student who, for the last year, has begun to learn the fundamentals and the magical power of graphic design. I have always loved to create things, whether it was sketching, painting with watercolor or even building imaginary friends with cardboard. However, when it came to images made with a computer, I had always been overwhelmed by the potential and possibility of all the different tools, brushes and color swatches.

Now, I have started my journey to understanding and conquering the art of digital design. I work with a small, brand-new company as a designer to make iOS

    Le Bonheur Children's Hospital

First Scholars collaborated with LeBonheur Children's Hospital and hosted an event put together by the college students. I helped draw and paint the banners as well as set up the event. I hung out with the children, making sure that everyone had a good time and took lots of pictures! <3

    Julia @ Memphis Zoo

I helped pass out candy to kids and families for Zoo Boo at the Memphis Zoo. It was a fun place to volunteer and I enjoyed spending time with animals and the kids.

    Julia @ Memphis Zoo

I volunteered because it seemed like a fun place to volunteer and I needed hours. I would volunteer here again and I would recommend it to others.

    Julia @ Tomato Art Festival

I volunteered at a booth for the Tomato Art Festival and helped sell rocks and solar eclipse equipment for Mrs. Meg. My family wanted to help Meg with her booth, so I did as well. I learned a lot about rocks and solar gear and how to make people more likely to buy them. Yes, I would volunteer at the festival again, probably at a different booth. It's a great festival, but it's in Nashville which is quite a drive from Memphis.
