Through Professor Noah Billing's Honors Lecture, I learned about new strategies for sustainable cities that promote environmental and economic benefits and serve the needs of all people. He discussed small-scale development and solutions where people manage their own neighborhoods and communities. It was very informational and interesting!

Through the virtual Honors event Lunch and Learn: "From the COVID Front Lines," I was able to engage with faculty/staff, students, and healthcare professionals about what it is like to assist the community during a pandemic. I heard first-hand experiences that gave me a new perspective on the importance of serving those that have been affected the most by COVID.
I participated as a note-taker for the Center for Educational Access to assist a student in my 8-week course. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to serve my peers amidst the pandemic.
I was able to attend the Study Abroad Grant Workshop that gives students an idea of what a competitive application looks like. Students were able to ask questions about the application process as well as what reviewers are looking for.
Packing the pantry was a great experience as everyone was very kind and eager to help!
I attended the College of Education and Health Professions Honors Trivial Night. The event was held on November 13, 2019 at 4:45 p.m. in GRAD 343. The student ambassadors created a Thanksgiving/Christmas trivia powerpoint, and the winning prize consisted of a $50 Wal-Mart gift card. In between trivia questions, I was able to interact with the ambassadors and ask them questions about the department and their career interests.
