MICR Rugby Field Grand Opening!

Volunteer Opportunity: MICR Rugby Field Grand Opening – Event Support Volunteer

Memphis Inner City Rugby (MICR) is celebrating the Grand Opening of the new MICR Rugby Field, and we’re looking for volunteers to help create a fun and welcoming experience for students, families, supporters, and community members throughout the day.

Event support volunteers will assist with a variety of activities and day-of needs to help ensure the event runs smoothly. We are still finalizing event activities and details, so specific volunteer assignments will be determined closer to the event date.

Volunteer responsibilities may include:

• Helping run kids’ games and activities
• Staffing activity areas (such as bounce house entry and family activities)
• Greeting and directing guests
• Assisting with activity setup and transitions throughout the event
• Supporting general event needs as they arise

No rugby experience is required. There will be plenty of ways to help throughout the event regardless of your background. Volunteers with rugby experience may also have opportunities to assist with rugby-related activities.

What to Expect

• Outdoor volunteer work at the rugby complex
• Opportunities to interact with youth, families, and community members
• A flexible, team-oriented environment

Ideal Volunteers

• Individuals who enjoy working with youth and families
• Community members seeking a one-time service opportunity
• Rugby supporters and players
• Anyone willing to jump in and help where needed

This is an opportunity to be part of a major milestone for MICR and help create a memorable day for the community.
