Earth Day "Be a Litter Getter" at Shelby Farms Park

Celebrate our Earth by keeping it clean and free of litter. Our Earth Day Festival on 4/19/25 will kick off a weeklong litter pickup effort. Shifts will be from 12pm- 4pm starting 4/19/25- 4/26/25.

Each month, we’re aiming to collect 2,025 pieces of litter, working toward our big goal of 25,000 pieces in 2025!  Park rangers spend over 100 hours a week picking up litter.  Will you help keep your park clean?

VOLUNTEERS:
Please arrive at the First Horizon Visitor Center’s Front Desk at the beginning of your shift to sign in and pick up your trash bags and gloves. You can park in the Visitor Center parking lot. Our Front Desk Ambassadors will suggest a trail for you to help clean up and help you set up your Litterati app if you haven't already. Please dress for the weather as you will be outside in the Park. This is a self guided volunteer opportunity.
