Virtual Volunteer Day

We hope you are staying safe and healthy during this challenging time we are all experiencing. Here at Levitt Shell, we are doing our best to be creative and safe in our mission to build community through music. We miss being with you all in our sweet, historical space in the heart of Overton Park. However, we know that one day all will be together on the lawn again, and it will be the sweetest of reunions. Currently, we like many are thinking of ways to remind people of the value that our nonprofit provides to the community, positioning our organization for long-term sustainability to weather the current crisis. This is where we would love your assistance. As dedicated volunteers who sacrifice their time year after year to bring smiles to all, you are central to our work. We are asking if you would be a social "ambassador", and record a video message speaking to the value of the Shell? Or what the Levitt Shell means to you? No need to get fancy, a smartphone video of 45-60 seconds is perfect :). Introduce yourself and why you love the Shell. How many years have you been volunteering; What was the most rewarding thing you have experienced?; What have you missed the most?; What are your hopes for the future?; Do you have a favorite show?; The more creative the better. Share a tale, sing a song, talk to us from your porch, while you are baking, etc. No pressure...just be yourself :)!Tag your posts #misstheshell Once you complete the project, upload a picture to any social media outlet, tag both organizations, and use the #VolunteerOdyssey for a chance to win a prize at the end of the day.
