Big Green Memphis

Big Green is a national nonprofit dedicated to youth wellness by building a nationwide network of learning garden programs to ensure all kids have a healthier future. We believe that real food has the power to improve the health and well-being of every person and create a more sustainable future. 

Since 2011, Big Green has provided a real food education to students in underserved schools across the country. We have grown to working in 7 cities, Denver, Los Angeles, Chicago, Memphis, Detroit, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh, and serve over 588 schools across 48 districts.  In Memphis, we have built learning gardens and support programming at over 140 schools across the city.
