At Repair Days, we've seen it all and repaired it all! During this annual event, our volunteers help raise funds for Museum programs by restoring metal items to their former glory – everything from rusted garden furniture to broken jewelry to warped heirloom silver. This multi-day event is a great opportunity for student metalsmiths to make connections and forge new friendships.
EXPERIENCE
We ask that those volunteering as metalsmiths have a minimum of one to two years experience working with metals, including students.
For those interested in attending but are just joining the metals community, we recommend that you sign up for one of our non-metalsmith volunteer opportunities. Even as a non-metalsmith volunteer there are plenty of opportunities over the weekend to meet and network and see demonstrations!
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Please register for all the shifts or days you plan on attending!

Due to limited capacity, we ask that you register for at least two days. Single day registrations may be cancelled at the discretion of the Metal Museum.
You will be required to attend orientation and safety meeting prior to being able to work in a studio area. If you do not attend your safety meeting the morning of your scheduled volunteer time, you will be unable to volunteer in your area that day. The dates and time of the safety meetings will be listed in the volunteer schedule that will be provided in advance after registration.
