FULL- Refuge Memphis "Prepping for Prosperity" Project

Saturday, October 20th, 2018 from 9:00am to 2:30pm (CT)
UPDATE: Volunteers will now be helping transition Refuge Memphis' clothes closet, sweeping, and building shelves.

Refuge Memphis provides food, clothing, emergency shelter, and education pathways for individuals and families living in poverty. Refuge Memphis needs your help your help transforming their Learning Lab so that they may offer classes to the community in need. Volunteers will be working to clean out this rooms, washing walls, and painting them. 

To begin, you'll arrive at the service site for a 9am kick-off and then volunteer from 9am-11:30am. Your t-shirt and project materials will be on site when you arrive. Following the service portion, you're invited to join us at the afterparty located at Memphis Botanic Garden from 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm for food, fun, and prizes.

Requirement Details
Volunteers ages 15 and up welcome.

Please wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty or getting paint on. Please wear close-toed shoes.

Volunteers should be able to lift 25 lbs and also be able to bend, squat, kneel, and reach over their head (to paint).
Parking DetailsYou are responsible for your own transportation to your project site as well as to the after party at Memphis Botanic Garden.
