About

The Rotary Club of Memphis brings back Cafe du Memphis on Saturday, May 6th at the Malco Summer Drive-In. Patrons will purchase beignets, shrimp & grits, and cafe au lait prepared by Rotary members. Proceeds benefit the Dorothy Day House and the Rotary Foundation.   We need your help to execute the event and ensure that all ticket purchasers receive their tasty plates of food. This is a drive-through event, with the potential for tailgating. Volunteers will be needed to check people in, direct traffic through the venue, plate food, and deliver it to the correct vehicles. Please see the shifts listed below for more details.   All volunteers will receive a detailed instructions upon arrival. It is important you arrive at your scheduled shift start time so there is time to orient before the event kicks into high gear.   All volunteer positions will require volunteers to be on their feet and active for several hours at a time. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable attire and sturdy shoes. This event is rain or shine. Although volunteers will be serving food, food will not be provided. Please bring any snacks that you might want. This is a great opportunity to work with the Dorothy Day House Community and participate in a fun event! Questions or concerns? Email Louisa Gale at lgale@dorothydaymemphis.org.
