Beautification Project: Iris and Herbs

August 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19.   Beautification Project: Iris and Herbs 8:30am - 11:30am.   Help is needed for the Herb and Iris Gardens. If you are interested in herbs, irises, or just need volunteer hours, these two gardens could use your care. These gardens need weeding as well as grooming. If you attend and wish to groom plants instead of weed, please bring your pruners, snips, or good scissors. Everyone should bring a water bottle and gloves. If it is raining, consider the event cancelled. Please bring a mask-it is suggested to wear one whenever you enter a building on property at the Botanic Garden. 6 feet spacing is encouraged.  As we work, I will discuss various uses of herbs. Bring your own gloves. If you have a hand tool you like to use, please bring that. Please enter through the Visitors’ Center at the north end of the parking lot and come to the Iris Garden where we will meet up.  Any amount of time would be appreciated! I know it is hot, so any time you can manage in the requested time slot would be accepted. If you have any questions not covered here, or if you would be interested in another time, call or text Sherri McCalla @ 901-489-4491 (leave a message if you choose to call and your call will be returned as soon as possible).
