Have you "herd" National Bison Day is coming up on Saturday November 6th, 2021, and this year we're celebrating it with the 2021 Buffalo Run 5k and Buffalo Day Celebration.
The celebration of National Bison Day returns to Shelby Farms Park on the first Saturday of November! Located on the scenic edge of Hyde Lake at the Event Stage and Great Lawn the Buffalo Run 5k + Buffalo Day Celebration is a festival of music, food and family; celebrating the North American Bison as the official National Mammal of the United States. Featuring some of Memphis' best food vendors and music! The Buffalo Run 5k + Buffalo Day Celebration is a fundraiser for operation of Shelby Farms Park and Shelby Farms Greenline so volunteers are needed to make this event possible.
We also need help Friday November 5th with race registration, packet pickup and T-shirt organization in preparation for the celebration the following day.

We suggest volunteers wear loose fitting, light colored clothing, hats, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and bring their own refillable water bottle.
