Paddle the Greenway with Wolf River Conservancy River Guides!
» WHAT «
Come learn to paddle a canoe with the Wolf River Conservancy! Our volunteer river guides will be on hand to help you learn the basics of controlling and safely paddling a canoe on our 25-acre lake along mile nine of the Wolf River Greenway trail. We have a 60-foot floating dock to make it even easier for anyone to paddle a canoe on the lake. There is no charge or fee to participate, this is free event. However, we ask that all participants wear masks during the instruction portion on the dock. Our staff will be sanitizing each boat and paddling equipment prior to and in between each use.
» WHERE «
The Wolf River Greenway at Epping Way is located at 2630 Epping Way Drive. Vehicles may be parked in the cul-de-sac near the Greenway entrance. Walk through the gate, following the trail, and veering left at the "T" intersection by the lake. Follow the signs to our boat dock / paddling pier and check-in with one of our River Guides.
» HOW «
Up to two people per canoe/kayak with a maximum of four boats launched each hour. There are three 1-hour timeslots available each day of our Paddle the Greenway event (October 10th - 24th, 9am-Noon, excluding Sundays).
❗ Note: Weekday paddles have been cancelled, please refer to the two Saturday dates, 17 and 24 October.❗
In consideration of others, please select no more than two timeslots per person. All ages are welcome, and everyone will be required to wear a PFD (Personal Floatation Device, or Life Jacket), which will be provided onsite. We also recommend bringing sunscreen and plenty of drinking water.
