April 11. Herbal Work Study: What To Do with the Herbs You Just Bought/Are Buying. 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. All 3.0 hours will be spent outdoors weeding, grooming, thinning, planting, or whatever else needs doing in the Iris Garden. We will break into separate groups of 10 or less as it becomes necessary.  As you work, Sherri will discuss ways to use the herbs you just purchased (or will be purchasing) from a plant sale or box store.  Sherri will have cold water and bug spray (if needed) available, you bring your favorite hand tools for weeding and grooming (soil knives, Cape Cod weeders, old kitchen knives, trowels, pruners, gloves, etc. – no hoes or rakes needed, though). . Everyone will get to go home with a handout that includes tips and general information.  Please come on out to the Iris Garden by 8:30 a.m. Please dress appropriately: closed-toe shoes and layered clothing is suggested.  If you have any questions not covered here, call Sherri McCalla @ 901-636-4134.
